Human Resource knowledge is the source for creating a healthy, profitable workplace. Good HR practices are required to create an environment where employees are committed to the business success and provide excellent customer service.

All managers are HR Managers; however, business owners and managers rarely receive formal Human Resources training. This can lead to frustration, wasted time and costly mistakes. Issues that are not addressed (or addressed poorly) fester, stagnate growth and interfere with achieving performance goals.

This HR training provides you with the tools and confidence to handle common workplace situations. From hiring the right people to paying them properly, dealing with performance issues and when necessary ending employment.  You will also learn how to implement a basic HR structure that will ensure you are legally compliant.

About the Facilitator :

Genevieve MacInnis 20 years of Human Resources experience working with midsized Canadian companies and large multinationals in both unionized and non-unionized environments.

She achieved her Certified Human Resources Professional designation in 2006 and has multiple certificates in Adult Education. Genevieve has delivered over 1000 hours of HR, Leadership, Communication and Conflict Resolution training.

Genevieve is the founder of Inspired Change Consulting, providing services in the areas of Employee Engagement, Leadership Development and Implementing Change.

Begins Wednesday, April 1st, 5:30 – 8:30 pm, 10 consecutive weeks on Wednesdays.  Located at Many Hats, 397 Bedford Hwy, 3rd floor, Board Room.
